Donate Furniture and White Goods

We only thrive if you donate to us. We will collect your unwanted furniture and white goods (cookers, washing machines, dishwashers, fridges and freezers only) from you for free as long as they are in a suitable condition. Bear in mind that we sell your items to others, so if their condition means you wouldn’t buy them yourself, then they’re probably not suitable for us.

  • Items must have fire safety labels where relevant.
  • We can't accept sofas, mattresses or armchairs with stains or rips.
  • We will ask for a donation toward our fuel costs.
  • See our collection areas and days to find out when we’ll be in your area.

Fire Safety

  • All upholstered furniture (including sofas, chairs and mattresses) must have fire safety labels.
  • On sofas and armchairs the label will read - "complies with the furniture and furnishings (fire) (safety) regulations 1988" and/or "this item does not require a schedule 3 interliner”
  • Mattresses must have a blue framed label which refers to BS7177 sewn into the end wall.

Collection Conditions

We will collect items for free from you if they meet our criteria of suitability and fire safety. We sell your unwanted items to others, so if their condition means you wouldn’t buy them yourself, then they’re probably not suitable for us.

We will not collect computer equipment, TVs, DVD or video players.

If our team decide your items do not meet our criteria, we will not collect them. Their decision is final.

We cannot offer a guaranteed collection time. We will give you an estimated arrival time with one hour slots. If you are not present when we arrive to collect your items, we will charge you if you want us to return and collect them at another time.We will ask for a donation toward our fuel costs.

Floor coverings can be damaged when heavy items such as washing machines are removed. Whilst we take every reasonable precaution when removing goods, occasionally some damage to floor coverings is unavoidable. We do not accept responsibility for such damage. If you are unwilling to accept this condition, we will not remove or collect any items. You must ensure that you protect or remove floor coverings to avoid damage. If you’re not happy with our conditions, then Wiltshire Council offer a bulky collection service (www.wiltshire.gov.uk/rubbishrecycling/householdwaste/bulkywaste.htm). They currently charge £22.
