Wiltshire social enterprise KFR, specialists in pre-loved furniture and white goods, has agreed a new partnership with home furniture retailer FurnitureBox UK. As a result of the agreement, FurnitureBox will donate furniture to KFR for re-sale to low-income families.
FurnitureBox UK’s managing director Monty George explained: “Family and home are at the heart of FurnitureBox. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to give back to our Wiltshire community since every family deserves to create a real home. By working with KFR, we get to be part of something amazing and reduce our waste and carbon footprint in the process.”
Dan Thompson, KFR’s operations manager, was delighted with the new partnership. “We are so pleased to be working with FurnitureBox. The agreement means we’re not only supporting more low-income families but also reducing the amount of usable furniture that goes to waste. We have already received a small mountain of boxes of furniture from FurnitureBox – Christmas just keeps on arriving early!”
